GM: Who are you - a Sergeant in a military Special Forces unit, The Black Dragon Team 1. Jace: Ok how much do I remember. Can I picture the crew in the ship? Do I know their names if I saw them? Can I see the wreckage of the ship from where I am at, or can I at least see signs of the wreckage? Do I know what brought us down at all? Am I familiar with the area either on ground or from a map? [Not familiar with the Vibro blade, does it turn off and on?] I take anything that's electronic out of the back; I leave the rest and put it on. I make sure the knife is off and store it in the right boot. Let me know if I have anything else, I would be carrying that is electronic. I leave everything else in the pack and put on the pack. Since I cant see anything I sneak off in the direction I am facing, keeping low and paying attention to everything I can till something gets my attention. GM: [Jace] Can I picture the crew in the ship? [GM Answer] Yep, the ship was a standard jump ship designed for short space travel. The team was strapped in; there was a pilot and co-pilot. [Jace] Do I know their names if I saw them? [GM Answer] Yes your remember ever member of your crew names and faces. [GM Answer] The jungle is deep and thick, the sunshines through breaks in the trees, but not enough to see smoke from the crash rising into the air. [Jace] Do I know what brought us down at all? [Jace] I take anything that's electronic out of the back, I leave the rest and put it on. I make sure the knife is off and store it in the right boot. GM: Jace begins his cautious walk north. He's hiking for about 10 miles when begins to approach a human sounds, Sounds like laughing. Jace: I quietly drop to the ground and pull out my knife. Also I take off the pack and hide it under some bushes and remember where I put it. What time of day is it? How long till sunset? GM: It's nice and bright but hard to tell with all the tree cover when sunset will be. Jace: I keep low to the ground and stay quiet looking for traps heading towards the laughing GM: Jace, stays low the ground and quite as he approaches the sounds. He arrives beside a tree and peeks into a camp. There is a fire going and 3 men and 2 women surrounding the fire, they are drinking and laughing. All of them have pale white skin, with dark eyes. All the men have shaved heads, long black mustaches. The women have shaved heads on the side with a long black pony tail. They all have on sweatpants-like bottoms. The women have cloth-covered chests while the men have on no shirts. All have a tattoo on their check just below the neck, a symbol Jace has never scene before. They are telling jokes in common tongue. Jace: I take it I don't recognize any of them. Are there any tents, buildings or structures around? Are there any weapons or communications devices in easy reach for them? GM: Nope, never seen them before. They have bedrolls on the jungle floor. No tents, no communication devices. They have swords, sheathed on their backs or side. You see a few with pistols. Jace: I sit and listen for a few hoping to pick up on info about the area, themselves, anything that might tell me what's going on or where I am at. GM: They are talking about looting and fighting. This trip has been fairly unsuccessful. "Hopefully scout will find something while she's out," says one of the bandits. Jace: hummm a bone, good for me. I back off from the camp sit and return to where I left the pack. Once there I put the pack on and start a perimeter search for signs of the scout's tracks. I want to be 30m out from the camp site when I start my search so I don't draw attention to myself, also it goes without saying I want to be very careful and very quiet. GM: Jace returns to his pack. As he's uncovering his pack he hears a gun a click. It's right behind him. Jace: I freeze "Who's that?" GM: You hear a whistle of sorts, but that's it. "Don't move or it'll be who was that?" responds a female voice. Jace: "Boy your quick witted, who did you whistle for? Your friends going to join you?" GM: No answer. Jace: I rise to my feet slowly hands raised "Humm cat got your tongue?" GM: # New beginning: Shoot him!: 12 GM: Nothing happens Jace stands up and is face to face with a female bandit. Jace: [guess I got lucky] What does she look like, height, build, color, hair, the works. Can I hear or sense anyone coming from any direction? GM: She is definitely one of them - pale white skin, with dark eyes. Like the others, she has a slender muscular build. She has shaved head on the side with a long black pony tail. No sign of anyone headed your way. Jace: I do a basic disarm technique and try to take the gun away from her # New beginning: disarm!: 6 GM: # New beginning: Scout Dodge: 12 GM: Jace snatches the gun from her hands. Jace: I hold her at gunpoint and bend down to pick up my back and sling it over my shoulder. "Lets move!" motioning her to run ahead of me away from the camp site "And don't try to run" GM: Jace gives her the direction he wants her to go. She turns and starts walking. Jace: I motion for her to step it up to a jog, I want to keep up the pace for at least a mile. If we cross a stream or river I want to head down stream for 300 yards in the water then continue on the other side. Once safe enough way I want to stop with her on her knees on the ground and me aiming my pistol at her. "Who are you guys?" GM: She's keeps the same pace, slow. Jace: [ok so we are merely feet from when I started that long sentence right?] GM: yep. Jace: "Fine if your not gonna listen." I go for the blind-sided cold clock to the head with the butt of the pistol. # New beginning: Cold clock 8 GM: Jace clocks her and she goes down. She's out cold. Jace: I pick her up fireman style and revert to my earlier sent action, doing a moderate jog the whole way. Can I tell how long until sundown? GM: Jace bends over to pick her up. When he gets her over his shoulder, he fills the point of a knife in his back. "Don't move!" in common tongue. Jace: "You here for the girl?" GM: "Put her down slowly," Says the voice from behind. Jace: "that's not what I asked you." I start to turn slowly GM: "Take the answers I give," Jace can tell the figure is moving with him. So, he remains behind. Jace: "Ok she's going down, but I should tell you if you aint with her you better get to moving quick cause her friends are on the way right now." I start to lower her to the ground GM: Jace lowers her to the ground. The male lets Jace put on her down. Jace: try to turn again "You gonna let me see who I am wasting my time for?" GM: The knifepoint is gone. Jace turns around. It's one of the males from the camp. Jace: "Who are you guys and what are you doing out here?" GM: "Who we are and what we're doing here is our own business, just know that we take care of our own. And now that we've done that you can move on," Jace: "Well I am glad I you are so chivalries, but I need some damn answers! Where am I!" GM: "Lost and out picking fights. That's not smart. Guess you'll never find your answers that way." Jace: "Ok if your not going to tell me anything, then just point me in the direction of the nearest settlement or outpost." GM: "I'll tell you one thing, watch out for the lizardmen," he says backing up towards a tree. Jace: "Wonderful." I pick up my back and grab my knife if I haven't already and head out to find buildings GM: What direction are you heading? Jace: OK lets retrace our steps. We should be back at where I dropped the back, if I look in the direction of the camp these mowhawk thugs are then where I started should be at my back. Lets take a left and go straight that way and see what I got. [Is char improvement on your website or the Gurps site? Need to know what to spend the points on] GM: Jace starts his trek. [Basically you need to look over the skills sheet and decide what new skills you want, can't get new advantages.] Jace: [Do I still have the blaster I striped from the chick?] GM: Yes, Jace still has her blaster and his vibro knife. Jace: Cool, when its safe I return the knife to its spot in my right hand boot, and carry the pack on my back and the blaster in my right hand at the ready. As I go I am being careful watching my step and looking all around trees, sky, ground, rocks you name it I don't want to miss anything or trip over anything. GM: Jace wanders along until he comes to the edge of a village. Looking in he sees humanoid males and females. Jace: how many buildings and of what type (i.e. Clay, brick, stone, steel) do I see. How many people can I guess are there? GM: This place resembles a western town. Building made of wood, none more than two stories. On the streets about 20 or so. Jace: is what I am dressed in stand out or could I pass in my outfit? GM: You'd stand out. You're wearing a one-piece jump suit. Jace: any cash, creds, or anything that could be bartered in my back? I know I got the knife, blaster, and rations but anything else? GM: Nope, it's a standard survival kit. Jace: Ok let's find out some info, I want my knife in my boot, pack on my back and blaster tucked in pants in the back. I want to head into town and stay out of sight a little, as I head in I want to single out a guy about my size and confront him alone. I want to see his reaction to me. GM: "Can I help you stranger?" says the guy. Jace: "Ok this will sound funny but I need your help. What is the name of this town? What is the currency that you use? Where is the nearest General Store?" GM: Confused the guy answers, "This is the town of Gari, the currency of stones, excepted just about everywhere on the planet. The general store is several blocks that way," He points. Jace: "Where is the nearest big city or military base from here?" GM: "Faki is on the coast to the east. Each city has it's own garrison," Jace: "Cool thanks for the insight." I head to the store to take a look around, as I go I want to see if there are any signs of this towns garrison around or maybe a head office. Also checking for signs of a pub or bar where a game of chance might be had. [Checked my Char out on your sit, think there might be a type-o cause I have a telepathy power I don't remember. Also those points you gave out, they are for skills right?] GM: Jace leaves and heads out into the town he gets a look or to but no one says anything directly too him. Several garrison troops pass Jace along the way. They are patrolling in groups of two. The town is pretty small so Jace is able to spot the local cantina (been playing Knights a little to long), the garrison HQ, and the store. Where too? Head to the store to find out what kind of supplies they have and maybe find a way to round up some stones
