Moons of Ryanus I: Fea I & Fea II
Genre: Cyberpunk/Fantasy
Background Info:
Ryanus I is an Earth-like planet with a oxygen based atomosphere, varied seasons, and multiple climates and land formations. There are four main continents, with severala mid-sized islands.
Over 500 years ago and Earth colony ship crashed on Ryanus I carrying over 1 million colonist. The largest portions of the ship landed on the continent of Sagia. Before the arrival of the humans, Ryanus I was a thriving fantasy world full of magic and mystical creatures. The colonist brought with them a level of high technology. The mix of technology and fantasy has turned Ryanus I into a thriving planet, with a several races living and working together.
Although the technology would permit the exploration of uncharted areas, fear of the many unknown magical entities of the world have left many areas unexplored.
Most of the colonist huddled together to form mega city-states on the continent of Sagia. Large faction who protested to this form of government left the city states to form there over governments. This lead to the creation of the Junta state of Asta and the Theology state of Olartus on the continent of Bagus. These two governments found rich land on the continent to the North of Sagia. The Forever War began as a result of these to governments battling over control of the entire continent.
Doomed cities were set up on Fea I and Fea II to provide an alternative to living on the planets surface and to create a defense system against any star faring race which might attempt hostilities towards the Planet.
The Hellstorm:
A nuclear explosion in a extremely volitile mana area in the city Helina unleashed what is being called the Hellstorm. Magical energies and nuclear radiation was spread throughout the city. This caused a wide variety of unpredicable results in the poplation of Helina. These results ranged from transforming people in more animalistic forms to bringing up hidden magical aptitudes. The explosion appears to have been an accident at WEB weapons plant. The explosion filled the air with an electromagnetic cloud which prevents any form of electronic signal from leaving the city. All communication leaving the city must be performed by courier.
Transportation:
There are several means of transportation found on Ryanus 1. Transportations between the mega cities on the Sagia is done mainly by, super train. Travel by aircraft within the planets atomosphere has proven to be far to dangerous. Unexpected, unexplained storms are often found throughout the planet.
